Hello,

I am running a system:

Pentium D 3.0 Ghz
EVGA GT 430 1GB DDR3
3 GB RAM
Windows XP pro

I just recently upgraded the graphics card from a 6800 to the GT 430 figuring I would get a huge performance increase. All I really want it for is Team Fortress 2. I'm getting about an average of 30 fps...which I think is horrible for what I thought this card would get. Is my proc bottlenecking it or is the card just not good enough for TF2? What is the most powerful card my Pentium D could handle?

Turn on the right column,
and I saw ur other thread, dont bother switching the 430 with a 5570 if u already bought it, they perform on par.
a 5670 would be better though, seeing as the performance of the 430 is far from a 5670, but they cost the same

Thank you. I will probably get a 5670 considering there's not a huge price difference between it and a 5570. That makes the most sense. I'm guessing the Wolfdale E3300 will be a hell of a lot better than the Pent. D. According to reviews, it's decent for gaming and I'm not building a power rig. Would you agree with that?
