Is plugging in both the VGA and DVI for monitor bad?

i read somewhere that u should never plug in both the vga and dvi for ur monitor only one at a time. ive been doing that this entire time lol

is it bad?

If the monitor really has only one input, but gives you the choice of either VGA or DVI . . . then plugging both in at the same time is bad.

If your monitor has multiple inputs, and the VGA and DVI can be selected separately . . . well, that's what it's designed for.

I don't see why you want to use VGA when you are connected with DVI.
