Intel SATA II or Marvel SATA III Ports for SSD?

I've been searching the net all morning, and I haven't been able to find any conclusive answers. I'm using a GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 motherboard, and I want to do a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate on a Kingston HyperX 3K SSD.
Some say the Intel SATA II ports are better. Others support the Marvell 9128 controller. Which ports are going to be the best gaming?
It looks like some guy benchmarked them in 2011, but he doesn't explicitly say which results were superior.
