Does it give you a "press any key to boot from CD" prompt before Windows begins loading? And is this a real XP CD or a burned one?

Is your hardware compatible with winxp?

I've seen incorrect memory voltages stop windows from installing and I've seen incorrect memory voltages produce stop errors.

Just buy the original disk instead of using a burnt one.
You'll be able to re-install the OS by using the original.
