    OPINIONS PLEASE.
  5. Would rather you have the links attached too.....
  6. You will need to change the RAM, I don't think it's there in the QVL
    http://usa.asus.com/Server_Workstation/Server_Motherboards/KCMRD12/#QVL
  7. The PSU won't work with this Mobo, Here's the PSU that comes with that Case
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371001

And this is what you need
    1 x PSU Connector 24-pin SSI power connector + 8-pin SSI 12V + 8-pin SSI 12V power connector

    That's one 24 Pin Connector, and 2 x 8 Pin Connectors....
  8. I will be using this to host a website from home which receives a fair amount of traffic,

Trouble finding the new Opteron 16core and mobos in the UK for some reason ?
  9. Strange why would they sell a PSU with a server case that does not support a server mobo ?
  10. Makes me just want to go FX8150 for simplicitys sake.
  11. They always do that, I just had another OP who'd gone and bought everything really pretty much expensive stuff, Intel Xeon Processors and the works, and finally he has reached , or was made to understand that the Mobo and those Processors aren't compatible......
The server world is a little bit tricky but works pretty well once you get the whole thing going.
  12. Well if you can take me by the hand and put me one together from SCAN.co.uk then id be very happy.
  13. :) That's got to be the longest hand I've ever been dealt....
  14. Change the Mobo to the
    Mother Board:
    Asus KCMA-D8 Opteron C32 MoBo
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-kcma-d8-dual-amd-opteron-4100-serverboard
    http://usa.asus.com/Server_Workstation/Server_Motherboards/KCMAD8/#specifications
    234GBP

That will work in that case at with the PSU you have in it.
