My goal on this build was to get as cheap as possible but not sacrifice performance and still have room for overclocking and an extra card later on for crossfire capabilities. During my parts research i was wondering if it would even be worth it to wait awhile longer for the new IVY bridge or a new GPU, etc. If you have suggestions for better parts around the same price range give or take 20-50 bucks then i will take them into consideration and i especially need help with case selection as you will see below the style of case that i like but this case is quite pricey and for that reason alone it could be a deal breaker.

Case - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001,2,3,4 etc...-------(124.99)

Dvd Burner - ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD------- ($19.99)

GPU - HIS IceQ X Turbo H695QNT2G2M Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP-----($269.99)

PSU - Diablotek UL Series PSUL675 675W ATX 12V v2.31-----($59.99)

RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMZ4GX3M2A1600C9-----($32.99)

MB - ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX-----($124.99)

CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K-----($219.99)

CPU Cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7-----($25.99)

Extra Case Fans -
NZXT 140mm Performance Case Fan FN 140RB (Black/White),-----($8.99)
NZXT 200mm Performance Case Fan FN 200RB (Black/White-----(11.99)

GRAND TOTAL, NO TAX, WITHOUT CASE ((((($832.82)))))

GRAND TOTAL, NO TAX, WITH CASE ((((($957.82)))))

Thank you for suggestions.

U need to pick different PSU .. don't cheap out on PSU .. it burns .. so will ur whole system. Also 125 for a case is a bit too much.

Agree with madchemist83, that PSU is questionable.

Your extra 200mm side fan will have clearance issues with the Hyper 212 in the NZXT Phantom.

Consider a Cooler Master HAF 922, Corsair 400R, or Corsair 500R.

Look at this combo deal from Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

It has the Corsair HX650 (*MODULAR woot!) (looks like a god compared to the one you selected) and the Corsair 500R for $190 - $25 MIR = $165.

Your NZXT + Diablotek PSU = $185.

Or:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

It has the Corsair 400R + Corsair CX600 (non-modular) for $150 - $15 MIR = $135
