Antech 900 Replacement fans?

I'm currently in need of 4 new 120mm fans. I need 2 to replace the front 2 that came with the case, and I'd like to get 2 more for the extra slots for my case (side and other HD bay).

I'm a little new to adding extra fans like this so I have a couple questions in mind.

1) With the components below, would I really be able to put a fan in the case's 2nd HD bay fan slot? Either in front of the CPU or in front of the Video Card.

2) What fans should I go after? The current fans in the front have power connectors that attach to the molex power plugs that would feed the normal components (IE: molex Rom Drives/HDDs).

It looks like the motherboard I'm getting can support 3pin power fans (up to 4), but looking at a few options, I'm not seeing anything that makes me believe the power cords will stretch from the front of the case to proper places on the motherboard.

Personally, I'd be happy with power connectors similar to that the ones in place already have, but I'm not finding those anywhere.

I'm looking at those and so far I like them. Do you think there'd be a problem fitting them into the front case mountings? I can probably post a picture of what they currently look like. I know I'll likely lose the blue LED glowing front, but at this point i just want decent airflow for the upcoming build.

They are 25mm thick and this is pretty standard size, you could measure your stock fans just to be sure they are the same. I liked the first 2 I purchased so much that I ordered 6 more (140mm size) to fill my Corsair 400R carbide case with them. The no LED is a plus for me, I don't really care for lighting. They also come with mounting screws and the rubber fixed pins if you prefer those.

Yeah, they're 25mm as well so sizing shouldn't be an issue at all. Plus, I'll likely get a 5th to replace the back fan at the same time.

I think another issue I'm having has to deal with just general dust. This case sucks in so much dust that it practically looks grey all the time. I've been noticing fan filters while looking at other fans. Looking at the case, would these be a reasonable investment to try to cut down on the amount of dust coming through the front?

Thanks for all the info by the way. I'm decent with most hardware, but I've not done a lot of research with cooling. Now that I'm getting a beefier video card and CPU, I feel I need to pay closer attention to airflow.

I think I'm just going to need some kind of filter I can cut up and put into the 6 (3 in each HD mounting area) metal panels in the front. The way the intakes are set up, that won't work out so well. I'm not sure it'll work for the side panel either. The side panel is just a honeycomb grate that I should probably look into getting a larger filter for it.

@DelroyMonjo, I was looking at those first, but I wasn't sure that with the front 2 that the power cord would be long enough. I'd assume they would be for the side and back, but the front 2 have a bit of of path to go through.

Antec TriCools are what come in the Antec cases. They are 3 speed and available with and without LEDs in various colors. Obviously blue is what came with the case. The case should have come with front and side panel dust filters. Well front filters I am sure of. The 1200 comes with a side filter but the 300 does not, I am not sure about the 900. The internal fan would not need a filter.

The case didn't come with dust filters. There are thick sponge like things that go into the 2 or 3 front panels that you'd want to prevent air from even going through, but none of the actual fan locations have filters. There's a honeycomb great on the side panel fan, but again no filter. At least, mine did not come with filters of any kind.

Looking at the pictures on the product website, it doesn't show any filters. Also just about any mod video I've seen about this case talks about adding them. I just hadn't bothered to really look into it until now.

Though it's an easy enough problem to fix. Maybe the newer versions of this case are coming with filter though. I've had this case for about 3 or 4 years now I think.

Nope. Neither of those. My front casing doesn't even look like it has room for a filter like that. When I first got mine, none of the unboxing videos talked about filters and the modder videos talked about putting them in.

Those Cougars do seem to be good fans...especially if you don't mind paying $14/fan without PWM or $17/fan with PWM. If you want a quality fan with PWM at an exceptional price, then you should consider Yate Loon D12SL-12. 4 of them for $20. Yate Loon makes the D12SL-12 for the Nexus 'Real Silent' series of fans (the Nexus has max 1000RPM . Reviews:
