Hi guys...

I was wondering if a Gtx 580 is suitable (more than other VGAs) for video editing.

A guy on another forum told me its architecture was similar to Quadro's, therefore the gtx 580 was not so bad with video editing (even though it is optimized for gaming).

If it were like this, maybe it would be a good compromise, as i wish both to edit video and have some fun gaming.

On a review about the gtx 580, it showed how the encoding via hardware was about 20 times faster than the one on software. How does that work? (I'm sorry but i can't find that review anymore :pfff: )

if the programs you will be using are programed for gpu accel, then its worth it, but
you dont have to get the 580.
the 560 or 570 will do just fine as well and you dont have to spend so much.

Awesome! I had the plan to get a MSi gtx 560 ti twin frozr, so i will stay on that one and maybe go with a SLI....
I was wondering: is Adobe CS5 programmed for the MSI? I know there's a special plugin even to exploit the Quick Sync tecnology, which would be useful on a Z68 mobo to make it go even faster!!
Thanks for u answer, if u have any suggestion i would really appreciate it!
