This may be my new PC:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 @2800 mhz, 6-core
RAM: 8GB Kingston DDR3
Videocard: AMD Radeon HD 6970 1gb dx11
HDD: 500 GB 7200rpm
Display: 21" HD+ (Asus)

I have money for this. I would like to play the newest games in at least HD resolution
very high graphics, and I want to play with GTA V when is comes out with a good fps rate.
So what do you think, is it OK? Please tell me if I have to collect more money for it. And my second question: Should I buy an Intel core i5-2500 instead of the AMD Phenom II X6?
I will use it only for gaming. Thank you.

I'd get the 560 Ti saving $100

Guru3D uses the following games in their test suite, COD-MW, Bad Company 2, Dirt 2, Far Cry 2, Metro 2033, Dawn of Discovery, Crysis Warhead. Total fps (summing fps in each game @ 1920 x 1200) for the various options in parenthesis (single card / SL or CF) are tabulated below along with their cost in dollars per frame single card - CF or SLI:

$ 320.00 6970 (526/825) $ 0.61 - $ 0.78
$ 215.00 560 Ti - 900 Mhz (495/862) $ 0.43 - $ 0.50

Invest in a bigger screen.....maybe one at 120 HZ
