Casual Gamer Budget PC

Hi guys,

I'm after a budget gaming pc, for pretty much casual gaming, playing games like Skyrim and Arkham City.

I already have a monitor, OS, keyboard, (etc).
My budget is sub £400, which includes around £40 for the HDD (I'm waiting for a drop in price before I purchase one.)

Proposed components:

- AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz - £85

- Asus M5A78L/USB3 AMD Socket AM3 8 Channel HD Audio ATX Motherboard - £55

- G-Skill 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Ripjaws Memory Module CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V - £20

- Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - £115

- Coolermaster Elite 330 Case With Coolermaster eXtreme Power 500W PSU - £55

- LiteOn iHAS124-19 24x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA Optical Drive-OEM Black with Nero Essentials - £15

= £345 approx

- I'm not too sure on the mobo, will it be compatible/adequate?

Thanks alot guys!

  1. For HDD, the prices will no drop in the forseeable future (ie. next 6 months) because of flooding of factories in Thailand. You are going to have to look everywhere to try to find the best deal on an hdd. Hopefully you find one or else you may have to wait a long time with a tight budget like yours.
    Compatability is fine.
