Apparently, my motherboard wont let my RAM get to it's max MHz of 1600. Unless I overclock it. However, I don't know what I'm doing and I don't want to fry anything in my PC. I am purchasing CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C7R, and I want it to be able to have the RAM at the intended speeds. Here is the rest of my build in case you need it for compatibility issues. (If you don't feel like searching for me, tell me what to look for so I know what I am looking at)

PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply compatible with Intel Sandybridge Core i3 i5 i7 and AMD Phenom

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

Wireless Adapter: TP-LINK TL-WN722N USB 2.0 High Gain Wireless Adapter

(I also don't mind upgrading to a bigger sized mobo)

Solution
Actually here is your answer:

The max that the Phenom II's support is 1333MHz. If you've adjusted your reference clock (FSB), it raises all of your other frequencies accordingly.
