Hello guys, I am planning to buy a new graphics card in 2 days as the late HD4890 went out of order. anyways.. I'm planning to get either an EVGA GTX 570 (not superclocked) or a Sapphire ATI HD 6950 2Gb.

my system specs:
Gigabyte MA-790FXT-UD5P (not the latest, eh ? :D)
AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2Ghz
I got a brand name 650watt PSU, but can't recall the name really, and I am that lazy to go open up the PC really :D
my monitor is a LG W2486 , 24" 1080p

the 570 and the 6950 are equally priced, but which one of these two will perform better on ultra high settings ?
I'm also considering the new stuff coming soon such as MW3 and BF3.

Regards,
A.R.

1080 resolution 570 would be the better choice. If your resolution is high then 1080 then 6950 2gb ram card would be better because of the more ram it has.

Only thing about the 570 reference they have weak vrm and can blow up if you overclock the card. If you don't plan on overclocking then it will be fine.

I just found that there's a Gigabyte retailer nearby, I believe there's the Gigabyte GTX570, it should be faster and have higher core clock than the EVGA one, and they should have the HD6970, any thoughts ?
