Hey, so I'm building my first gaming pc, and there's just one thing I'm unsure about.

I've selected the Asus ROG Maximus IV Extreme-Z for my motherboard, and the 1250W PSU, OCZ Technology ZX Series PSU, but I don't know if the PSU's motherboard power connector will support this motherboard.

Will I need an ATX to E-ATX adapter?

Thanks.

It's the same power connector so you shouldn't have an issue.

So a 20+4 pin connector is the same as a 24 pin connector then? It sounds stupid asking but the whole ATX and E-ATX thing confuses me :??:

Yeah, the 20+4 means that there's the 20 pin power connector, for people whose boards are only 20 pin power. The plus 4 means that there's an extra 4 pin little power connector dangling right next to that 20 pin power connector so it will fit a 24 pin one. Basically it's a way to be able to hook up power to a motherboard that uses 20 pin OR 24 pin power. If you had a 20 pin power connector motherboard, you would just plug in the 20 pin connector. If its a 24 pin power slot, then you would plug in the 20 pin one as well as the 4 pin one that will be right next to it.
