Buffer under run with HP 9100i

I'm having a lot of trouble burning music or data from HD at 8x. I defrag the HD, turned off anti-virus and all other suggested on HP support page. At 8x I get buffer under everytime, at 4x it works sometime.

System Config
AMD K2-500
Asus P5A MB
256 MB Generic RAM
20 GB HD (C= 4GB, D=8 GB E=8 GB)

i have a 9100i seris also i found that nero helps out with those problems
it makes two buffers, one in your ram and one on teh cdbruner its self
you should frist copy waht you want to copy to your hard drive because the rate at which it can read data is much faster than your other cd drive ( at least in my case);
make sure if you downloadd nero you get the boot disk menu so you don't get errors in your computer do to two diffrent programs trying to run the same cd brunner

Maybe there is some bottleneck in your IDE configuration. Try switching things around.
