A Question About Ram

Hello all,

So recently I began my first desktop build and purchased:
1) ASUS M5A99X Evo motherboard (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053YM70Y/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)
2) Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz RAM (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005G9C4K4/?tag=pcpapi-20)

Knowing that my motherboard has four memory slots, today I purchased Kingston HyperX Red (2x4) 8GB 1600 MHZ RAM (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3865543&Sku=K24-0107).

I realize now I may have made a mistake, but I have not actually see a definitive discussion on whether or not this mixing of RAM will work.

My question is, in my situation, will the two brands of 2 x 4 GB RAM work together?

You'll just have to try it and see if your system runs without bluescreens. Let the motherboard choose the speed and timings. It may default to 1333 speed with all four slots populated. You can try increasing the speed to 1600 in manual mode, but I wouldn't change the timings or voltage until you try it first.
