im planning to buys GTS 450 EVGA

im currently using 8400SE and i want to upgrade it to GTS 450

my mobo is 1.0 PCIE 16x

my pc

intel e5200 2.50ghz
ddr2 2gb
my monitor is 1280 by 1024
corsair cx 500


is there any loss of performance in 1.0 mobo with 2.0 card?

None that you'd notice. The CPU and RAM will hold back the card more than the PCIe slot will by a lot more. And at 1280x1024 res it's not enough bandwidth used to matter either.

What hang said. Upgrading the RAM by 2 more gig would make an improvement

You'll be fine. I have a Radeon HD 5850 in a mobo with only a PCI-e 1.0 slot. There is no performance loss.

Yes. It would take a dual GPU card (GTX590/HD6990) before you'd notice any bottleneck.
