ok so i need help on build

budget:2000$

build ETA:black friday

i dont really care if i pick the amd or the intel and GPU is hard to chose lol

OC:yes i want 5Ghz in OC will be nice

MOBO a 3gen MOBO as rock asus??

case HAF x ? ppl say is good ??

should i get SSD? for boot?

extra cooment when u sugest GPU but the modeal name and from EVGA-MSi etc etc

Solution
Most fan controllers are pretty worthless - you might want to skip that.

And EVGA is definitely a better choice than Asus is for video cards.

Hard to gauge what black Friday prices are going to be or what's going to be sold - but the high end stuff never gets discounted so keep that in mind.

Absolutely get an SSD - not only does it make booting easier but it will not erase but decrease heavy loads in resource hungry games like BF3 and Skyrim by at least 50%.

I don't think you'll be able to get 5GHz on this setup but 4.5GHz is easily achievable:

Try this build:

Case: Corsair Carbide 500R - $129.99
PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKII 950W - $149.99
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P - $179.99
CPU: 3.30GHz Intel Core i5-2500K - $219.99
Cooler: Corsair H100 - $119.99
RAM: 8GB (2 x 4GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 1.5V - $41.99
SSD: 128GB Crucial M4 - $219.99
HD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - $149.99 :ouch:
Optical: LG Super Multi - $79.99
Video card: EVGA Geforce GTX 570 - $339.99
Keyboard/Mouse: Logitech MK260 - $28.99
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium - $99.99
Monitor: Asus VH236H 23.6" 1080p - $179.99

Total: $1971.99

5.0ghz is left for only the best air coolers and is by no means easy to acheive on any cpu of the 1155 socket.

Air???? I think anything beyond 4+ would be difficult to achieve with an air cooler, even crazy liquid cooling setups - it'd be difficult to achieve anything beyond 4.5. I mean that one AMD configuration they only got to 8+ by using an experimental helium cooling configuration - something that's not available to the general public yet.

to say the MOBO is pci 2 wich means? the asrock is FTW ? right so i dont have to change MOBO? the GA ud will spourt ivy but will not be able to run the nvidia 24nm GPU AKA GTX600

Corsair Force 3 120 GB SATA 3 SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive

is it bad i save 365$?

ok so that cse is better then HAF x ? and is it better then 600t crosair?

still need to chose GPU and case and im done lol
plus PSU :p

lol 14 fan case WTF !!!!? how will i connect that? lol

but in minde that black friday is cheap friday so yah old parts will be cheap so yah i can sli 3 570 ! ? mype or evan 2 way sli 580 wich ill do if i can so i can 3 way L8ter

I'm not sure that will make much of a difference. The 600s should still be PCI-e x2.0 for now, if you want to be future proof for sure go for one of the new Asus or MSI boards with PCI-e x3.0 built in it, they shouldn't run you that much more.

ok so that cse is better then HAF x ? and is it better then 600t crosair?

I have the 600T - it's a nice case but it is BIG, so is the HAF X - the Carbide is half the size but still has the same interior room and cable management system as the 600T.

Corsair Force 3 120 GB SATA 3 SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive

Good choice but I've heard this drive has a lot of BSOD issues. I'd stick with the Crucial M4, but if you wanted to get something else go with Plextor, Samsung, or Intel.

lol 14 fan case WTF !!!!? how will i connect that? lol

What case has 14 fans? Most usually give you two or three with the option to connect more, I don't even think that Silverstone PSU has enough connectors for 14 case fans...

Try these:

Case:

Antec Lanboy Air: http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/11-129-091-TS?$S300W$

Nothing against Asrock. I'm thinking of buying their 990FX based board. What I'm saying is that if you for sure want to be future proof (SATA 6, USB 3, PCI-e x 3.0, etc) then go with Gigabyte, MSI, or Asus. With Asrock I'm not sure any of their boards have caught up with the technology yet.

As far as being able to mount a cooler like the H100 - the top of whatever case you choose has to be able to support a radiator with 2 x 120 mm fans. With some cases you will have to remove whatever top fan is included - most are around 200mm - and install the cooler that way. You definitely want to check the layout of your case - especially the top mounting brackets - before buying the H100.

Yup and my Noctua is only small :ange:

It's not the size but how you use it.

msi big bang or asrock fitalty mobo or extreme7 gen 3 as rock so wich is better

It looks like the big bang is a P67 - the Fatality is Z68 - go with the Z68 board.

The HAF X will definitely be able to support the H100 - there's plenty of mounting spaces on the top and it looks like it has some good cable management at that.

Just my 2 quid...
3-way SLi bandwidth is what i was concentrating on but yes z68 is more future proof due to gen3.

Ah that makes sense. If that were the case I'd recommend the EVGA P67 FTW series over anything else he has so far. It's one of the easiest boards on the market to overclock your CPU, video card, and so on.

And I second the recommendation of the Corsair AX.

Well the reason I recommend the FTW series is that there's no other manufacturer out there that makes anything remotely comparable. EVGA's tech support is among the best in the business. With the FTW series - you can overclock either in the BIOS or via UEFI with like a few clicks and you're done. And they give you everything but the kitchen sink with these boards - you get front mounting USB bracket, all kinds of utilities, and that sort of thing, even their thermal grease. Check it out:

yah tha ascrok heat sink look's like a kitchen knife lol

BTW z68 or P68

and will it fit in my crosair 500r?
