A friend talked me into ordering these things from newegg. I will almost give all this stuff away to get a decent running fast computer. I do not game. I want it for my business but I want it to be fast and below is what my friend had me order. I already had to do a RMA on the motherboard which was a...
1 x GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

My friend said that it is junk because no bios will come up.

I do not know nothing about computers internally.
I guess I now need to still get a mother board.
What motherboard will be compatible with everything that I ordered below.
I was planning on running windows 7 ultimate. Just remember on the GSKILL below is four sticks totaling 32GB RAM
Any ideas or adjustments that you think I should make will be greatly appreciated.
These are the items I still have in my possession. Craftsman1598

Hi, What rev is the Gigabyte board (1.0, 1.2, ... 3.0)? The 3.0 does support the CPU. The others might need a BIOS update or might not support it.
An option: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3Plus/M5A99X_EVO...
The RAMs are not listed as compatible by GSkill neither with the Gigabyte nor with ASUS, but they might work.

I AM COMPLETELY ALLITERATE WHEN IT COMES TO THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS AND HOW THEY WORK TOGETHER. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT REV MEANS. BUT IF YOU COPY AND PASTE THIS INTO NEWEGG WEBSITE IT WILL GIVE YOU THE MOTHERBOARD THAT I HAD. IT WAS CALLED THIS... GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3

THERE WAS SO MANY BAD REVIEWS ON THAT BOARD THAT I DO NOT WANT IT.

IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON ANY DIFFERENT COMPATIBLE MOTHERBOARDS WOULD BE GREAT BECAUSE AGAIN, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR.
I WANT A GOOD BOARD THOUGH AND HOPEFULLY ONE THAT WILL NOT GIVE ME ANY SERIOUS PROBLEMS TO SOON DOWN THE ROAD. HOPEFULLY ONE THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE 4 X 8gb RIPJAW 1600. AND DOES NOT COST MORE THAN 180.00 DOLLARS. THANKS. CRAFTSMAN1598

Easy on the all caps, it is interpreted as "yelling" and yelling at the member who was trying to help you.

Save some money and get one of these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Since you are using for business, just what do you intend to do with this system?

Sorry about the caps. I started typing and had gotten half way through typing when I realized the caps was on and did not want to redo everything. I just figured that they would read between the lines and see that I was not yelling.
As for the computer, I am using it mainly to do a lot of uploads on youtube. I buy and sell on ebay and use videos to give better details of the items that I am selling. I am pulling 5 meg from the internet and 1.5 meg on the upload. Will be changing that soon to pulling 8 meg and 3 on the upload.
Do you think that the ASRock 970 EXTREME4 on NEWEGG would be better for my set up? Thanks Craftsman1598
