  1. Sound cards alow you to add more speakers like a 5.1 channel or 7.1.

Remember, the more you pay for a sound card, the better the sound you will hear out of your speakers and headphones!

An example of a good soundcard with 7.1 channel speaker support:

  2. thanks im currently using the bose 2.1 companion system which is basically a sub and 2 top end, but I want to expand on this with a nice mid range quality speaker can you recommend?
  3. The 5.1 speakers I am recomending will require a soundcard because its a 5.1 channel, which requires a front/rear/sub connection.

But what I am recomending is a stereo system that is 5 years old, but it is FANTASTIC for the money.

    I give you...

    The logitech x530: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121126

Its sold out in Newegg, but there available on Amazon, Ebay and such for $50.

I must say they are simply fantastic for the price.
  4. thanks im going to order that sound card but how can I use my existing bose companion 3 set up and ad a further say 2 or so speakers?? or would you recommend a specialised 5.1 system.
Im a dj and will be using the system to mix and record tunes through serato and traktor etc
  5. I'd recomend a nice 5.1 or 7.1, because you get the effect of a large surround area, like if you where playing in a hall, instead of just comming at you, like the 2.1 Bose
  6. Its only in a studio room, just wonderd if I could add another set to improve the sound or do you think a proper 5.1 system?

Its hard to string more speakers with an existing setup unless you splice wires or something.

I'd prefer a proper 5.1/7.1 upgrade because those speakers are designed to be with each other and work together to create a surround sound.
