I have almost 300$ (approx 15000 inr) to spend on cpu+mb+gpu
I want to play some wow and fallout new vegas and rage at low to medium setting at 720p approx 40-60fps
1)amd build
Should i go for amd althlon ii x3 or phenom ii x4 955be
then which mb should i go for asus m5a97 or any other (i don't need sli or crossfire but i need good overclocking capability)
and also suggest me a gpu

Or
2)intel build
i3 2100 and a h61 mb or any other suggestions
and nvidia or amd gpu

and also tell me that coolermaster hyper 212 plus is a good cooler or not
I have a seasonic 620w bronze psu

Phenom II x4
Nvidia GTX 460 or Radeon 6770.

The AMD build wins here since i3 can't be OCed.

Phenom II X4 955 and 6850 or 460GTX. Most motherboards will work well but for best overclocking would be any motherboard with a 710 or better southbridge.
A cooler master 212+ is a great cooler and will help you get a good overclock.
Do you already have memory ?

ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Number of Memory Slots: 4×240pin
Memory Standard: DDR3 2000(O.C.)//1600/1333/1066
PCI Express 2.0 x16: 2 PCIe 2.0 x16 Slots (blue@ x16 mode, black@ x4 mode)
$93USD
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor $125USD
HIS H667F1GD Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 $90USD

That is what I found in your price range. A CM 212+ HSF will add another $25USD
You need DDR3 RAM and probably a new OS unless you're using Linux or other GNU OS
400W min PSU

No, they are both more or less the same especially since you can just OC the difference.

A local shop can sell me a amd phenom ii x4 955be and asus m5a97 and a coolermaster hyper 212 plus at $275 and a nvidia evga 560 gtx oc at $180. Should i go for it
Our street prices are a little higher(5 to 10%) than newegg price.
