You don't need to say operating system or 6 core CPU for this.
I wouldn't have posted this thread either, because, no offense, this kinda takes attention away from people who need help when this is something very simple you can just google.
But the maximum amount of RAM that board supports is 32GB of DDR3 2000 (OC) RAM.
32 gb (8 gb per ram slot) in windows xp 64 bit only, but only 16 gb of it will be recognized. Less than 4 gb will be utilized by your board if running 32 bit windows xp. If you use onboard video, some ram will be reserved for that. Be sure to use non-ecc ram; I recommend 1.5v cl9 1600 9-9-9-24 if you're on a budget.

Thanks oldie.. This is just about what I feared. I do have 8GB of DDR3 fitted but wishfully thinking that fiddling in the bios might have allowed greater usage. Your reply, I reckon, is the most accurate/ Mike
