My First Build

Hi this is not my first computer but the first I am building. I just wanted to check to make sure all of my picked components were good. I was going for a budget computer that would also do good with games.

CPU- AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz
Mobo- ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870
GPU- EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB
RAM- G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

I don't think the other parts such as hard drive, optical drive and such have much affect on this but if they do that would be good to know! Oh and I am planning on a 600W Rosewill PSU

Go with a the 955BEit can be overclocked to 965 speeds

Dont get the 550 ti get a 560 ti or even a 560 if your budget can afford it

Everything else looks good

How much more performance will the 560 give me? and is overclocking the cpu easy?

most new mobo have an auto OC check to see if yours has one

ok and one last thing. if I overclock it to 965 speeds do I need a non-stock cpu cooler?

Yep you would to make sure that it doesnt have any negative effects
