a couple days ago i tried a program called advanced
system optimizer and i was messing around with it for a
while. a day later i noticed that i had somehow messed up
the settings on my computer. what was happening was i
would have two small windows open and i would be looking
at one. as soom as i put my cursor over the other one, it
would overlap onto the one i'm looking at now. it does
that very frequently and i can't read anything because
the active program will always popup onto whatever i'm
looking at: including games. is there anyway to reset my
settings to default without reinstalling windows because
i have over 80 GB of information on my computer. and i
have already contacted systweak and they couldnt' do
anythng about it. what about the windows xp cd? i know
there's a restore function but what does it do? email
your responses and advice to
gamesc19@msn.com
thx

Hi
Does the program you used have an 'Undo' option? If so try that to see if
Windows will return to it's state before using the program. Otherwise try a
System Restore to a point before using the program.

Should be under mouse options - something like "move active windows with
cursor" or such. For start, I'd try to uninstall and reinstall the mouse
drivers - or maybe equivalent drivers - to get rid of those settings.
