Installing an avg geforce 6200 ddr2 128mb into an emachine

Hello,

Do I need to change the bios, shutdown, install the new graphics card, and then power up. I get nothing if I install the card and power up. So, changing the bios blind will be difficult.

I think all you need is a BIOS update, perhaps.

Did you connect the monitor cable to the VGA card? Remove it from motherboard connector and attach it to the video card output.

Yes, I updated the BIOS first, then added the card, booted, and yes, I connected the VGA to the card. Before I did all of that, I suggested my customer buy a new computer! Any other suggestions -THX
