I have a Dell Optiplex 760 that is a couple of years old. It has a 304Wat power supply and a Radeon Series HD 3400 in it. I want to upgrade the card to something faster (playing the new Assissin's Creed). Dell tells that the power supply I have is the biggest they can put in it. Does anybody have a idea which card I can put in it that will make it run faster? [Pentiun dual core E5200 @2.5GHz with 4GB RAM]

without a doubt a HD 5670/6670
either one
no power connector and use very little power
I have one in an Optiplex 745 (hd 5670)
with a 280w PSU
plays Crysis 2 at 1920x1080 DX9 Hardcore settings
and will play Metro 2033 at 1280x1024 DX11 very high settings
costs between 75-100 USD on US Newegg
if you half a slim tower (called desktop or SFF)
then get the low profile version though they are getting hard to get

Wow, thanks, I knew there was something wrong. Last weekend I bought a 6790, but when I pulled it out of the box I knew that it was a completely different thing than what I had. I will take it back and get something that will not blow out every fuse in the building.
