High-End Gaming Rig for around $1000 Tags: New Build Systems Last response: November 10, 2011 3:58 PM in Systems Share link2hyrule November 10, 2011 4:26:23 AM It's been a few years since my last build and I haven't kept very close tabs on the hardware market. Mostly concerned about the mobo, processor and gfx card. I appreciate the help! Here's what I'm looking for: -1TB hd -intel based mobo -i5 or i7? cpu...not sure if i7 will fit the budget -8gb ram -750+ psu -dvd, blu ray if it fits the budget -Good speakers (been using dell w/sub for about...8 years) would like it to be quiet. i modded my current pc and it sounds like a jet engine...hah -considering this gfx card -going with this case I'm not asking for price checks, more direction on what parts are quality and will last the next 3+ years. Thanks again!
