I am doing an upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7 and am going from 4gb RAM to 16GB. I this board:
1 x GIGABYTE GA-MA790GPT-UD3H AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX
AMD Motherboard
- Memory support: Dual channel architecture
and this CPU:
AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core
Processor ADX620WFGIBOX
It has 4 memory slots, 2 are one colr, the other 2 are a different color. i assume this is the 'dual channel' thing. I have done a little bit of research and found different people have different ideas on whether to go with 2 sticks, or fill all 4. So I am wondering, based off my specs, if you would recommend 2 sticks of 8GB or 4 of 4GB, and why you suggest it (I like to learn stuff).
Thanks.
