Having trouble with ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3

Hello, I've been trying to get my computer to work for a while but am not sure whats wrong. I have everything connected the way i assume it should be but when I turn on the mobo the monitor does not have anything come up and stays in powersave mode. The monitor works on my older computer. I've tried putting the ram in A1/A2 and A1/B1 and B1/B2 etc. Also tried putting the SATA in slots 1-6 and nothing helps. Is there any way to trouble shoot this?
