So I see this advertised on Ebay here "http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Phenom-II-X6-1100T-Black-Overclocked-4-294Ghz-/180812692078?pt=CPUs&hash=item2a1946ba6e".
.
.
My question is it may be over clocked on their set-up but when you take the cpu out and install it into another mobo wouldn't show up as a stock cpu ? Does the over clock stay with the cpu ? I thought it was only unique to that particular pc set-up. I may be wrong but I could someone tell me ? Thanx

You also need to consider how hard that CPU has been run. It might have been well and truly thrashed, and not last very long when you get it.

If the mobo was being sold with the CPU, and assuming settings hadn't been reset, you'd get that overclock.

Thanks for both of your answers . I was just checking to make sure and we are all right about the over clocking. I already have a amd build and was looking for an upgrade. I will get a new one from newegg.com. Since it is more just for programs and Not games I may get the Fx series to see how they run. I will not over clock though.Thanx again !
