What ilysaml said! I have read that a 4850 X2 requires a 650 W PSU. Buying a cheap PSU is simply pressing your luck. That PSU you have listed shows >72% efficiency, which means 73%, in my thinking.

A 4850x2 consumes about 250 watts on it's own.You don't need an extreme wattage PSU but a good quality 600+watt PSU should do fine.

Antec 650watt $70=$50 after MIR + Free Shipping

i forgot to say "and meet your future needs"

A 650watt is plenty for any future upgrading.Unless your doing a GTX580SLI.

a 6990, 5970 (Dual GPUs) will also require a 650W PSU ? a pair of GTX 570 (not 580) will require a 650W PSU?

Rosewill is not a good manufacturer, it's not even a good brand such as Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, Cooler Master, Thermaltake ......
a 600W or 650W will handle your GPU like suggested, but a 750W PSU will be a good option for future upgrade, and you must list your all system specs so that i recommend the right one for you

a little bit of advice: don't be cheap with your PSU. even if you don't have the money right for good PSU it is better safe than sorry. save some money and get reliable PSU.

^+1.

The PSU is the most critical componet in a PC.If you have a crappy PSU it's possible that it might just die by itself. But theirs also a chance that when it does die that it will take other compoenets with it.What could have been an extra $30 to ensure a good quality PSU now turned into a $500 mistake.

not sufficient for your system, if you don't have the money just wait until you save some, and please LIST ALL YOUR SYSTEM COMPONENTS

No that won't be good enough. It's only capable of delivering 330watts.The 4850x2 consumes 250watts all by itself. All of the other componets will push it over it's max.

The reason i havent listed my componets is because im buying a new MOBO and new CPU and bought new Memory.. but im thinking or reselling my CPU and MOBO for diff ones.. so far this is what i have

Phenom II x4 840 3. 2Ghz Processor / A880G+ Biostar Mobo / Patriot G Series 'Sector 5' 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) / Basic RW Drive / 80GB WD HDD. Nothing Special.

Looking to sell my Biostar and Phenom II x4 840 3.2ghz and get AMD Phenom II x4 925 Black Edition (2.8 Ghz) / ASUS M4A785TD-v EVO

another advise, when you upgrade your CPU and MOBO specially with AMD try to get the most recent as the price is always cheap, why the 925 while you can take advantage of the 965 or 980 over gaming?
and why are you getting so old graphics card ? are you going to be gaming or not ?
if you're going to be gaming you must get on of the HD 6K series

Are you sure the 925 is a BE? I thought they started at 955 and up.

Well like we've stated before the PSU isn't something you want to cheap out on.Go with a dual or triple core if you have to.

i already have the 4850x2 but i found two ATI Radeon 4870 HD for 120 with BIOSTAR TH67+....
id rather have the quad core just because there about the same price wise used..
but you would suggest the 965 and 980? which phenom is better?

Yah.BE processors are Black and Green.

On the topic of the 965 or 980 theirs no need to spend that much when you can get the 955.You can save yourself $50 by getting the 955 and O.C.ing to the speed of the 980 or higher with just a tiny voltage tweak.

I think you should just get a AM3+ mobo and a Dual Core, O.C./Unlock Cores. You can put the extra money towards a good PSU and save money to upgrade to a Bulldozer CPU.

Forgot about selling it.Your better off with what you have. You'd probably loose money in trying to resell it and it's to difficult anyway.

Whats your budget for the PSU?
