Hello,
I am going to be purchasing a 4gb stick of ram I have a Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3753#sp)

the page specifically says 4 1.5v slot yet whn I run compatibility test on the Kingston site it suggests "Kingston Technology Hyper X 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM KHX1600C9D3/4G" that runs at 1.65v

my question is- Does the voltage difference not matter? and if you notice anything else im missing i'd be greatful for the heads-up

thanks

Solution
The RAM will still work, but it is highly recommended to buy RAM that is 1.35-1.5v specification rather than 1.65.

Sandy/Ivy bridge is designed to work with 1.5v RAM.
