I've working on getting my sister's computer running again after a hard drive failure. After replacing the drive, and doing all of the fun things associated with doing this (ie. fdisk, format, reinstallation of windows), I've run into a stop; the serial mouse. I'm using windows 98, and I can't get the mouse to work through the serial port. I used to use a serial mouse all the time a while back, but I can't remember what to do in this situation. I've tried removing the two com ports in device manager, but after redetection, nothing happens. The computer consists of an Amd k-6 233, Asus vx97 board, and 48 mb of ram.
