Hello,i want to ask u all something. Can my intel prentium D (3.20GHz) be used on Asus P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 or Asus P9X79 PRO? Or u can suggest any good motherboard that can support my processor.
Hello iLIX-XtreM; No it's not supported. Are you sure you want to hold on to that old CPU? A new CPU/MB combo can really improve performance over that old CPU
Reason it's not supported? Your CPU would need a socket 775 motherboard. Asus P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 is socket 1155 and Asus P9X79 PRO is socket 2011
If you have the money for any of those boards why not get a higher end cpu and a mid ranged board? Like an i5-2500k and an asrock z68 extreme 3 gen 3?
Socket 775 CPU: Socket 2011 CPU:
