Can I convert an unused SATA power cable to PCI-E for the GPU?

I was young, naive, and mis-informed when I bought my PSU. It said it supported SLI and I went for it. What I didn't know was that it only had two 6 pin connectors which both ended up being used by my single graphics card. That being said, it does have a web of unused SATA connectors.

The PSU's a 700w XION. It's got the horse power to SLI two GTX 560 TI's, but lacks the connectors.

So after a little research I found these things on Amazon and eBay:

Will it work for an additional GTX 560 TI? The only reason I ask is because I have bought adapters on eBay before that I later found out weren't even physically compatible.

I know next to nothing about electricity and don't want to blow my junk up.

You can use that adapter with one caution. First make sure that your power supply can deliver the amps needed by the gpu through the sata connector. You would do this by looking at the PSU specs and comparing what the gpu draws vs what the PSU puts out on the rail servicing that sata connector.
