DDR3 vs LPDD3

What's the performance and watt difference between DDR3 & LPDDR3.

if you mean ddr3 with low profile heatsinks then the performance is the same. the only difference would be that low profile ram is less of a pain if you have or get a cpu cooler

its short for Low Power...those are rams for mobile computers and LPDDR3 is yet to be incorporated into a device i think. it is possible that some sites maybe advertizing low profile rams as lpddr3...think I saw something like that on ebay India...not sure.

Shafe can you share where you saw this...I am intrigued

nice...thanks for sharing Shafe. That is low power ddr3 JEDEC released that standard in 2011 or 2012 I think and samsung was planning to implement it by 2013. from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_DDR
