Hello, I've scoured the internet for answers to this question, and I've found some helpful things on this site - so I guess I'm in the right place.
My problem is that since I have installed a new graphics card (hd 5770) (and subsequently upgraded my power supply), my cpu fan has been really loud. At the moment, where all I'm doing is typing online the cpu fan is spinning at 3750 rpm (I don't know whether that's fast, but it sounds it!). After playing games this exceeds 6500 rpm and causes a lot of vibration, which I think is making the noise.
I only have the oem fan, but I'd never noticed any noise trouble before installing the new components, is it a case that the fan is not powerful enough to keep up?
The temperatures I have are fine (I think), at the moment the MB is 44 degrees and the CPU is 40 degrees, after playing games this goes up to approximately 51 and 49, respectively.
In short, should I upgrade the CPU fan (if so, what would you recommend)? Or could there be another problem that I haven't thought of?
Specs:
Phenom II X6 1055T
6gb RAM
ASUS M4A78LT-M motherboard
Radeon HD 5770
Thanks in advance
