So I'm building a tower, and my budget is around $1400 here's what I got so far..I still need a power supply and maybe a case... I want this for gaming and solid works...

The first thing is are you going to be using the hyperthreading capabilities of the 2600k , if not then you will be better off by saving $100 and going with the 2500k , because the only difference between the two is the hyperthreading. The 2500k will over clock just as well as the 2600k.
