I'd say thats not money well spent .

The top end processor and a bottom mid range graphics card dont add up to a good gaming experience .
Drop the processor to a i5 2400

Cut the RAM to 2 x2 gig

And spend the money you save on those items on a 5870 or GTX 560

I know it to be true .

Here is BF 3
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/battlefield-3-graphics-performance,3063-13.html
almost no change in game performance switching between generations of processors , brands of processor , and number of cores .
This can ONLY mean that the limitation is the graphics system . And since they are using a much more powerful graphics card than you that suggests you are spending too much money on cpu and not enough on graphics .
When you do overclock an intel quad there is a very poor return in game performance

Better to buy the 2400 and use the money you save where it actually gives you better FPS
The graphics card

8 gig of RAM gives a tiny gain for gaming . In most cases it gives you nothing you would ever notice so that money is also better spent on a graphics card too

There is a mistake in my earlier post though . Id recommend a GTX 560 or a 6870
