New monitor considerations - advice please

Greetings guru's,

I've been using a 19" monitor for years resolution 1400 x 900.

Its time to invest in some larger visual 'real estate' but i guess larger screen = higher resolution = graphics hit.

Thinking along the lines of 21"/22".

Cpu - Athlon x3 425
Gpu - Nvidia GTX 275


Any thoughts anyone?

Have the same that ringelos posted except mine be 24" and its a great monitor
