Will my mobo detect my cpu?

hi i have a brand new fx 8350 tommorw am waiting my mobo to arive, it is a asrock 970 extreme 3 and from what i read i will need to update the bios
will the mobo detect my cpu? or i will need to use another am3+ cpu to update bios? atm i dont own another cpu and am not willing to buy a + cpu just to flash the bios
any suggestions?

But I would wait for the board and check the BIOS. If P1.50 or newer, the CPU is supported.

tnx for ur answer i hope my mobo come with the version u mention coz i dont whant to wait again for the chip :D  and olso i dont have so much faith in bios updates,i hear alot even from profesional pc builders and after bios updates boards go to hell w/o reason.. :pfff:
