Optical Drive anti-vibration

I have an LG bruray drive and every time it spins up it is obnoxiously loud. I have it in a HAF 922 case which uses the tool-less bays. I was hoping someone might read this who knows of a way (product or mod) to reduce the vibration noise from an optical drive. Been all over Tom's and Google for a week trying to find something with no success.

  1. Try screwing it in if you can.
    Worth a try.
  2. Thanks. I thought about that (I'll give it a shot) but it's a pretty agressive vibration. I'm trying to find a way to isolate it from the case.

You might have to resort to using rubber washers if it's that bad.
  4. Thanks davcon. You win best answer by default, lol. I'll see if I can find some rubber washers that will fit and give it a try. If it doesn't completely fix the issue, at least it should help some.
