Ram differences

is there any difference, say if i were to get 1 x 8 gb ram, or 2 x 4 gb ram cards, is there any difference in performance, or would they perform the same.

CMV8GX3M1A1600C11 (1 x 8 ) is 34 dollars vs. Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 (2 x 4) is 45 dollars, any difference other than price? both are 240 pin ddr3 1600.

Single channel or one stick would perform slower than Dual channel with two sticks. Correct me if I'm wrong, people.

Well it would perform slower, but not noticeably slower. I would go with the 2x4 just because the system would benefit from the faster RAM speeds. It seems that the build probably won't be upgraded, so it's better to just get 2x4.

Other than that, if you can find a better power supply for the same price, get the better power supply. Thermaltake is just one of those iffy companies. I'm sure it would be fine but it doesn't hurt to look.

I´d go with Corsair 8GB for $34 dollars -- if there is a difference in performance you won´t notice it in day to day tasks.

Not worth it. It'd only be worth it for Dual CHannel if it was cheaper.

You won´t have any problem with these games with only one ram stick.
