Hello guys,

I have a i5 3570k and it has a memory controller that can handle 1600MHz.
http://ark.intel.com/products/65520

And don't know if the processor controller decides what is you max RAM speed.
I saw somwane with an i7 3960x, this can handle max. 1600MHz of RAM speed.
But hes RAM was 2133MHz.
Don't know whats the point of it.
So if somwane can tell me that there are more things that decides what your max RAM speed can be.
Just want the max RAM speed for my i5 3570k and AMD Radeon HD6990.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

That motherboard(ASrock Extreme 6) is capable of ram 2800MHz.
They sell the vengeance in different forms(1600,1866,2000,2133,2400)
But no 2800MHz.
So would the Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB 1600MHz be capable to overclock it to 2800MHz???
Or should I just leave it and just overclock it to 2400MHz.

I won't recommend you to overclocking upto 2400 frankly 2133 MHz is too much but if you get it properly cooled then 2400mhz won't be a problem. After you overlock run a few mentests and monster the voltage if everything is fine then you are good to go.

If possible get the 2133MHz cards and then overclocking it.

2x4gB is way better than 1x8gB. You can use dual channel with two cards(almost double the speed)
