Well i think its time for a change.

SRAM or IBM's -MRAM- could be the future

i would pay $400 for 128mb of SRAM @ 500mhz, 3ns or 4ns

or even $1500 for 128mb of MRAM @ 1ghz+, 0.5ns or 1ns

would you.

Cel 533 - 256mb sdram
15gb HD - ati radeon 32mb ddr (200/200)
SB live! mp3+ - win98 Beos

I dodnt know.
How would the 500 mhz transfer into performance on a mobo with a 266 fsb and a chip that supports it?
hmmm or did i say that backwards?
yes I would pay it for a performance boost. Actualy it looks like Ill be paying $800.00 for 512 mbs of mushkin or micron sd133 so i have to say that i definetley would.
but wont it ( the bus speed of the ram ) be limted to the fsb and chip?
so 500 mhz would run at 266 mhz or 400 mhz on a p4 or 100 on a system with a 100 mhz fsb and so on ?
tell me more.
pleases? 8 >

I extremely doubt 128MB of MRAM would be $1500. They think we will pay $235,000 for a 20GIG MRAM hard drive?! (I guess it wouldn't really be a hard drive). Cuase MRAM is gonna be used as a storage device, not memory.
