Can Asrock A-75 Pro 4 runs windows 8

Tried to upgrade to windows 8 and they told me my motherboard was not compatible with Windows 8 because it does not use uefi technology? I have a Uefi Bios. Kind of confused!

asrock says its windows 8 ready, you may need to flash a new bios for compatibility though

Yes I know the A-75 Pro 4-m says windows ready but the Regular 4 is did not say that, but Microsoft upgrade people after 3 techs 1 level 2 tech could not figure it out. So they were quick to issue a refund and tell me my motherboard which was purchased in March 2012 was not compatible. Now I've upgrade my BIOS to the current version. I might try getting windows 8 again but for now I'm good with windows 7!
