If a brand new Intel CPU doesn't work, do i ask for a refund/replacement to Intel or to the shop i bought from?

Edit: haven't bought yet, but theres no return policy, and just looking at the worst. this is on Ebay btw

Luckily Intel has a rigerous quality control process and I've never seen one bad out of the box. If your shop doesnt have a return ploicy then I would buy elsewhere or thru a shop that has ebay's buyer protection.

Hi :)

In the UK ...your rights are against THE SELLER who you bought it from under The SALE OF GOODS act.... NOT the manufacturer...

Not sure about the legal position in the US or wherever you are though...

All the best Brett :)

dont get it from ebay

use a proper company--like newegg in usa or aria , overclockers , ebuyer ,scan in the uk

if you have a problem with one from ebay depending on the seller it could take weeks to resolve if they get

awkward about it
