What graphics card will work best with Asus M4A87TD EVO 870 motherboar

hi all

im building a new rig and i need to know what graphics card (preferably 1gb dedicated + ) will go with 'Asus M4A87TD EVO 870 ' motherboard and a 'amd phenom ii X6 1100T' processor i will have a 750 W power supply so not too fussed about power requirements.

What is your budget?

Do you really need the 1100T? Unless your doing a lot of tasks that warrant it I would suggest saving your money for a bulldozer CPU and get a cheap CPU for now.

You should be able to pick whatever card you want according to your budget , just be aware that the second pci-e slot is only x4 and if you have intentions of SLI/Crossfire in the future then you will be restricted by that slot on performance.

I am only using this card as an example since I don't know what your budget might be but this card is essentially two cards in one , it has two gpu's and would be a solution to the MB you chose. Otherwise you should choose a MB with two x16 slots that work at least in x8 mode so you would get the full benefit of the two seperate cards in either SLI or Crossfire.

the budget for the gpu is around about £100

im currently looking at this : HIS Radeon HD 4670 IceQ looks good

quick Q as im not good on Motherboards :S
am i limited to put a certain type of graphics card in (nvidia, ATi) ?

No your not limited you can choose either but if you decide to go with Nvidia you will not be able to SLI.

Why a 4670? That card is very outdated.

For your budget I would suggest getting the 6770.It's a great card and fits your budget nicely.

also maybe look into a GTX 550TI that will also be an great upgrade and will give you smooth frames in gama at 1920 x 1080 res...
