Please complete the blanks!!! $1000 gaming rig

Approximate Purchase Date: This month - December

Budget Range: $1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Light Photoshop

Parts Not Required: Video Card (I have a GTX 560 Ti Gigabyte Windforce 1gb) keyboard, mouse, monitor.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg

Country: USA

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: I have a gtx 560 ti... but looking to sli in the future. not an immediate need.

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080.

Additional Comments: Not too particular about the motherboard. Just want one to fit 2 slis at x16 speed. (correct me if im wrong) i just want one that supports overclocking (want to overclock the i5-2500k). I really like the haf 922! although my pc knowledge is pretty outdated... built my last pc 3 years ago. Need decent cooling, liquid or air doesn't matter. Really happy with my liquid cooling though, not sure if air is better.

thank you for your time.

More about please complete blanks 1000 gaming
  1. how far do you want to push that 2500k?
  2. hmmm i am probably happy with a +500-600 mhz speed upgrade.... don't think i need more than that. thanks
  3. Ok then you will be more than happy with an AsRock z68 extreme3 gen3 for about 125$
Corsair A70 cooler can push you to 4.2-4.5ghz easily with this motherboard
8giga of low profile ram running at 1.65 or less
get an hdd from a local store if they have pre-floods stock
Also you can find cheaper and equally good psus at that range.
  4. ^+1

Dont forget to get a CPU cooler Hyper 212+ or Hyper 212 EVO are good and will work with almost any motherboard
