weird cdrom problem!!!

Hi,

I always have these "weird" problems hehe

My Creative 48X CDrom is acting weird recently. Sometimes, when i restart the computer, it won't recognize the CDROM!! If i go to hardware properties in windows, it says secondary IDE controller has a conflict!! This conflict does not show up when the computer sees the CDROM??

I tried this CDROM in two computers, one with an abit BX6 rev2 motherboard, and the other one is an ASUS CUV4X.
If i turn the computer off and turn it back on, it sees the CDROM for sure, the problem only occcurs when i restart the computer .

Any ideas??

PS.. I tried to set the CDROM on master and cable choose, didn't make any difference.

are you saying this problem occurs on both of those motherboards?
