Can I get some advice / opinions on my new build specs -

The 2700k is unnecessary over the 2600k its only a 100mhz bump which can be achieved ridiculously easily by raising the multiplier. That being said if this is for gaming the 2600k is also unnecessary as the 2500k will deliver all the performance needed.

Also WOW that is some expensive ram. No need for 1866mhz ram 1600 is more than enough. Just make sure the ram is 1.5v or lower for sandybridge.

Thanks zooted...yeah I had the 2600k originally but removed its availabillity from their site for some reason :/ 

So you think the 2500k is good enough for the system? I am hearing that from a number of people alright...and yes it is for a purely gaming pc

the 2500k is the best bang for your buck, the small improvment from i5 to i7 is very small. So save the extra $100 and put it towards a better GPU.
